Spheriens has been established by a group of attorneys long specialized in the field of intellectual property.
With offices in Florence, Milan and Rome, and a liaison office in New York, Spheriens provides judicial and extra-judicial assistance in Italy and the European Community and legal advice to Italian and foreign clients, including some of the world’s most prestigious companies in the fields of luxury goods, fashion, entertainment, information technology and pharmaceuticals.
The firm is a member of INTA (International Trademark Association) and A.I.P.P.I. (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle).
Spheriens works in the fields of intellectual and industrial property and unfair competition. We handle all matters relating to trademarks and distinctive signs, domain names, denominations of origin, geographical indications, patents, designs and models, copyright and antitrust law.
In particular, Spheriens provides extra-judicial and judicial assistance, in both civil and criminal cases, as well as the drafting of agreements regarding intellectual property rights.
We handle all aspects of anti-counterfeiting, including liaising with the Police and Customs authorities, the coordination of experts and investigators, the drafting of briefs during preliminary investigations and the filing briefs of intervention as aggrieved parties in criminal proceedings.

Just got back from Luxembourg where Marina Perraki, Dr. Andreas Lubberger and I represented International Trademark Association (INTA) before the #EUGeneralCourt in the #ICELAND case: much work but also much fun during the preparation, and then a rewarding hearing! Another milestone for our great #EUSubcommittee of #INTAInternationalAmicusCuriae. Let's now wait for the General Court's decision.

And just like that another #MARQUESAnnualConference has come and gone. I had a blast with my fellow IP colleagues in beautiful but chilly (at least for my standards!) #Stockholm. I particularly enjoyed taking part in the panel on the protection of products’ design which Jesse Hofhuis moderated with mastery and grace: the lively discussion with my great co-panelists Catrin Turner and Sarah Bailey proved that no matter the obstacles, there is still plenty of room for keeping copies away from customers...in a way or another! As the final session is about to start, the Marques Annual Conference 2024 has now almost come to an end. It has been great! I very much enjoyed organizing the program and I want to thank the Conference Team, Anette Henrysson, Sara Söderling, Leo Longauer, Kasper Frahm, Oliver Nilgen and, last but not least, Ingrid de Groot for the cooperation. I believe we did an excellent job! Also a big thanks to the speakers on my panel: Catrin Turner, Sarah Bailey and Noemi Parrotta. I cannot count the number of compliments I received for your presentations. I can only agree with all these people: you were all outstanding!
