🌍 It is #WorldAIDSDay! As a proud partner of UNAIDS, our work in emergencies is essential to ensuring that no one is left behind, particularly those affected by HIV. Through our food, nutrition, and economic support, we empower people living with HIV to lead full and healthy lives. 9 million people living with HIV still lack access to life-saving treatment, and last year alone, 630,000 lives were lost to AIDS-related illnesses. To combat this epidemic, it is critical that we enhance access to adequate nutrition, healthcare services, and social protection for all individuals living with HIV. Together, we can make a difference! Download the UNAIDS 2024 World AIDS Report: https://lnkd.in/d8EV6zsu.

📣 Mark your calendars!   For the UNICEF and WFP Global Impact Evaluation Forum 2024 at the United Nations, with the theme Experimenting, learning and scaling up what works in a fragile world.   📅 WHEN: 2-5 December 2024 📍 WHERE: New York City and Online   The Forum builds on the momentum of the inaugural WFP Impact Evaluation Forum held in Rome in December 2023, delving into the issues raised last year, but with a stronger focus on child and gender outcomes in fragile settings, and increased global vulnerabilities associated with climate fragility.   It tackles questions such as “How can impact evaluation help demonstrate the difference we are making in people’s lives in fragile contexts?” and “What current interventions and potential solutions in those contexts warrant rigorous assessment through impact evaluation?”   Participants will have the opportunity to showcase impact evidence from climate-prone and poly-crisis environments, learn from each other’s experiences, and identify concrete areas of potential collaboration on impact evaluation.   The event will amplify existing capacity with sessions on the latest methodological and practical innovations and will invest in strengthening connections between evidence generators and users.   🖥️ For more about the event including the programme, visit: https://lnkd.in/gczT_afT 📺 Access the forum's agenda and participate in the online sessions: https://lnkd.in/gjWKYPz2   #Evidence4Impact

WFP's 2025 Global Outlook outlines our commitment to reach those in need and the innovative solutions we'll implement to make this a reality. Conflict is a major driver, affecting 65% of the food-insecure population, while extreme weather events disrupt agriculture and worsen shortages. Additionally, critical funding shortfalls are hampering aid efforts. WFP aims to assist 123 million people in 2025, focusing on saving lives and building resilience.
