Enjoying AIHorizons 2024 these days (https://lnkd.in/eTvqXH6A), and presenting a market-based data pricing tool (see https://lnkd.in/duXfwDDi for more info) based on my research at IMDEA Networks Institute. The event included talks about the impact of AI on healthcare, insightful roundtables with relevant participants sharing different points of view, a perspective about data flows and the value of data by professor Raul Castro Fernandez, and a mind-blowing talk about the impact of AI on the labour market by Prof Esteban Moro, let alone the enriching and valuable networking. And yet, new promising presentations are happening today. Anecdotally,  I realised that this was my first talk in Spanish about the data economy after 5 years! I hope we catch up and this is the first of many more to come. Many thanks to Universidad Carlos III de Madrid for the invitation. 🗞️🌟 And that's a wrap! 🌟🗞️ The final day of the EBDVF conference in Budapest has come to an end. Despite the rainy weather, the UPCAST project had valuable opportunities to build new connections, deepen relationships with our cluster projects, and explore the latest developments in AI, Generative AI, and data space platforms. The conference offered insightful discussions and showcased a range of innovative ideas. A special highlight was yesterday’s session on "Advancing Data Lifecycle Management: Tools and Strategies for Enhanced Monetisation" organized by the #EUData+ cluster. With a full room of engaged participants, we presented our research results. George Konstantinidis (UPCAST) showcased a live demo of the UPCAST negotiation plugin🔌. The panel discussion with Jordi Arjona Aroca (ITI ) (DATAMITE) Sotiris Koussouris (PISTIS) Antonio Sottosanti(@FAME) Radu Prodan (Graph-Massivizer Project) Ian Makgill (enRichMyData) and Daniel Alonso Román ( BDVA - Big Data Value Association + Data Spaces Support Centre) dived into crucial topics like key target users, the role of standards, the challenges of platform creation, and how data spaces can amplify the impact of these projects.
