Learn How To Make The Difference

Chi siamo

Venice Diplomatic Society is a #Non-ProfitOrganization recognized by the Ca'Foscari University of Venice 🌎 whose members are mainly students and alumni of this institution.📚 The foundation dates back to 2015, when a group of students, getting back from the #HarvardNationalModelUnitedNations, decided to provide the 'Cafoscarini' with all the appropriate #skills to successfully face the MUNs. From there, where we #root in, we have developed a #highinterest and a #deepcommitment to #raiseawareness about pressing #internationalissues of every kind, with no exceptions or discriminations. Guided by our motto #LearnHowToMakeTheDifference, we resolutely believe in giving our most honest #contribution and do our best to #takeaction within the Planet's Agenda🌱 Although originally we only dealt with MUN, now we have set up a wide range of activities with noteworthy partners of the territory: they are the Venice International University (VIU), Europe Direct Venezia, European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC), BETA Italia, San Servolo Servizi Metropolitani di Venezia. Currently our activities encompasses: - Model European Union (VeUMEU 2025, VeUMEU 2024)🇪🇺 -International Hour✍️ - Debate Society 🎤 -VELA (VDS Academics and Lecturers Association)🌐 - MUN at School 🎒 - Help in promoting useful events for the Cafoscarini community 💼 Should you take a concrete insight of what VDS truly is 👇🏻: email 📩 --> info@venicediplomaticsociety.com Instagram 📸 --> @venicediplomaticsociety Twitter 🐦 --> @VeDiplSociety Website --> www.venicediplomaticsociety.com

🎗️Today, November 25th, marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women—a day to raise awareness, advocate for change, and honor the memory of those whose voices have been silenced. The Venice Diplomatic Society is proud to stand with global and local initiatives to combat gender-based violence. We were honored to participate in today’s event alongside Professor Sara De Vido and Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, whose dedication to this cause continues to inspire meaningful action. As part of the event, we inaugurated a #PanchinaRossa, a poignant symbol of remembrance for the women who are no longer with us due to violence. This bench serves as a permanent reminder of our shared responsibility to create a safer, more equitable world. We are especially grateful to our Treasurer, Alesia Kovacevic, for representing the Venice Diplomatic Society as a speaker at this important occasion. Her commitment to this cause reflects the values we strive to uphold as an organization. The fight against violence requires collective effort, awareness, and action. Today, and every day, let us renew our dedication to eliminating violence against women and empowering all individuals to live without fear. #OrangeTheWorld #StopViolenceAgainstWomen #InternationalDayForTheEliminationOfViolenceAgainstWomen #GenderEquality #HumanRights #CaFoscariUniversity #VeniceDiplomaticSociety

📢 Join Us for an Insightful Conference! The Venice Diplomatic Society (VDS), hosted by our VELA branch, invites you to a thought-provoking lecture on “American, Russian, and Chinese Strategies in the Middle East” as part of our commitment to expanding knowledge-sharing and professional growth. 🗓️ Date: November 8 at 18:00 (CET) 🌐 Platform: Join us on Zoom through this link: bit.ly/48uk4Cx Ukraine, Taiwan, the BRICS—all occupy international media attention and seem to be relegating the Middle East to second place among the critical spaces in international relations. October 7, 2023, was a reminder not only of the centrality of this area, but also of how the major powers perceive this region as a space for projecting their influence. The United States has invested heavily in the Middle East since the end of the Second World War and does not seem ready to leave the area completely, although it is redeploying its forces to other international theatres. Russia has strongly returned to the region, particularly since the Syrian civil war, but the war in Ukraine is keeping it busy elsewhere. Lastly, China has been making discreet progress in the region from an economic point of view, but is now more visible politically, following the example of the rapprochement organised in March 2023 between Saudi Arabia and Iran. So the question arises: what are the plans of these 3 major powers in the Middle East? Our speaker, Kevan Gafaïti, is a doctoral candidate at Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II, specializing in French foreign policy in the Middle East, particularly the Persian Gulf. With experience at the Strategic Research Institute (IRSEM) under the French Ministry of Armed Forces and as an instructor at Sciences Po, Kevan brings an expert perspective to understanding these global dynamics. 🔹 Don’t miss this chance to delve into the strategies shaping the future of the Middle East and the influence of these global powers!
