With our partner ZECO, we have implemented and commissioned the first phase of the 2.9MW Luponde Hydro Power Plant for our client Rift Valley Energy Tanzania Ltd., in the area of Luhololo (Njombe, Tanzania). We are now implementing the second phase of the project. Fra i vari percorsi escursionistici al Lago di Ponte Pià , un bacino artificiale situato nei comuni di Stenico, Tre Ville in Trentino, ci si può imbattere nel nostro mini-impianto idroelettrico da 1,4 MW al piede della diga. La storia inizia nel non tanto lontano 2011 quando, sotto concessione dell’allora Hydro Dolomiti Enel srl, ZECO fu commissionata a potenziare la centrale di Ponte Pià, già di fornitura ZECO, con una che sarebbe andata ad aumentare, raddoppiare la produzione di energia sfruttando appieno i rilasci della diga nel fiume Sarca, nel rispetto dei livelli del deflusso minimo vitale ed i parametri fissati dal piano di tutela delle acque. Un altro fiore all’occhiello che va ad aggiungersi alla rosa dei progetti idroelettrici che abbiamo portato a termine negli anni! Saluti da Stenico! 👋

We ZECO strongly believe in rural electrification as driver for socio-economic growth and sustainable management of rural resources and that’s why this project made us particularly proud. Thanks to our dedicated team which has installed two 170kw Francis machines in Mawengi and the precious collaboration with community-based organizations, governmental institutions, ACRA Foundation and companies like Mutina Power AG, back in 2012 we have accomplished to bring affordable renewable energy to 7 villages and 2 sub-villages in a remote rural area of the Ludewa District in the Njombe region. This project paved the way for other hydro-power projects in the region and became Best Practice for local development supporting the growth of sustainable agriculture, forestry and local enterprises as well as the delivery of public services like education in remote areas. #Hydropower4generations 🤝 #HeartOfZECO 💙

FFC è un’azienda leader nel territorio italiano ed internazionale per attività di installazione e manutenzione di impianti industriali ed in particolare idroelettrici.
