The caustic ingestions, both accidental and voluntary, is a medical and surgical emergency that requires an integrated multidisciplinary approach in order to frame, manage and treat the patient in a timely and effective manner. In recent years the diagnostic strategy was changed. Hence the rationale of creating a national multidisciplinary Survey promoted by SICE - Società Italiana Chirurgia Endoscopica e Nuove Tecnologie with the collaboration of SIED Società Italiana di Endoscopia Digestiva and WSES (World Society of Emergency Surgery) Italian Chapter with the aim of photographing what is the knowledge of the medical and surgical diagnostic and therapeutic management of this category of patients and the adherence to the most recent recommendations. 📌Participation in the survey takes a duration of about 10 minutes and all those who complete it will be guaranteed co-authorship in the collaboration group in the papers that will be published. 🌟 In a historic surgical first, the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad performed the 🏆 World's First Robotic Assisted surgery for a rare colonic tumor accompanied by an even rarer anatomical variation. Our patient, hailing from Uzbekistan 🇺🇿, had a situs inversus partial. His liver, though on the right, had inverted lobes and his descending and sigmoid colon were anatomically positioned on the right with accompanying vascular variations. He had an obstructive malignant growth in his right sided sigmoid colon. The final pathology revealed the diagnosis of MANEC (Mixed Adeno Neuroendocrine Carcinoma) - a rarity in the realm of GI tumors.
