I am thrilled to announce that the research we have been developing, with the valuable contribution and guidance of my supervisor and mentors during my internship, has been selected for presentation at the #BauSIM2024 conference in #Vienna in the upcoming #September! I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the unit of energy-efficient buildings of the University of Innsbruck for their warm welcome, their unconditional support, and for considering me a member of their valuable team. From day one, they embraced me as one of their own, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with such remarkable and inspiring people. This experience has not only deepened my understanding of air source heat pumps but has also shown me the power of teamwork in driving innovative research. I am truly fortunate to have been a part of such a supportive and dynamic environment. Their inspiration and wealth of knowledge were instrumental in shaping the early stages of my career, even at the undergraduate level.   I am excited about the opportunity to present our work at BauSIM2024 and look forward to what the future holds. Research Title: Performance Evaluation of Decentralized Split Unit Air-to-Air Heat Pumps Abstract: A holistic evaluation is performed to investigate the energy performance of air-to-air split units (also called air-conditioning units), including laboratory measurements and steady-state simulations of the refrigerant cycle. Several aspects are considered, such as indoor fan speed, varying compressor frequency, defrost, and “on/off” cycles. The laboratory measurements include steady-state test points as well as dynamic operation. The measured Coefficient of Performance (COP) varies from 1.8 to 4.9, and the maximum measured heating capacity was 2.5 kW, close to the nominal value of 2.7 kW. The measured reduction due to the defrost cycle was up to 14% in the heating capacity and 16% in the COP. NATRAX - National Automotive Test Tracks, a division of NAB and an autonomous body under the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), has signed an MoU with the (Sagar Group of Institutions - SISTec to collaborate on building industry-ready talent in automotive engineering. The MoU was jointly signed at NATRAX, Indore, by Dr. Manish Jaiswal, PhD, Director of NATRAX, and Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh, Director of SISTec, along with Principals Dr. Dinesh Kumar Rajoriya and Prof. Manish Billore, Ph.D. Dr. Manish Jaiswal highlighted that the primary objective of this partnership is to promote and nurture industry-ready talent in automotive technology through advanced hands-on learning, internships, industrial research, joint courses, and the incubation of student startups. Dr. Jyoti Deshmukh stated that this collaboration will enable capacity building at SISTec through research initiatives, high-level industry-relevant training, technical events, internships, live projects, and more, aligned with both national and international standards. She also emphasized that SISTec will participate in academic activities for the incubation center and annual conclave proposed by NATRAX. The NATRAX officials have committed to supporting and encouraging the innovative ideas of students, providing them with new opportunities to excel in the field of startups. Professions and skills today: universities, companies and institutions for development How can the university keep up in an ever-changing labour market? What and how many professions are trained by Bicocca courses of study? What are the skills that companies require today? How can training courses be updated? On 20 March 2024, a round table will be held at the University of Milan Bicocca to answer these questions. The results of two Bicocca project initiatives aimed at improving knowledge of the labour market will be presented. ·     Job-in, a web platform developed by Bicocca that allows students, lecturers and companies to navigate Bicocca's wide range of training offerings, which are divided into more than 300 outgoing professions and 1300+ skills learnt in degree courses. ·     LMI-EUniv, an ERASMUS+ project involving Bicocca and other European universities to support the use of Labour Market Intelligence in the definition of training paths.   https://lnkd.in/dMkYfjW3   #LMIEUniv #Universities #Skills #Jobin #Bicocca
