Last Friday our #ESPR taskforce had the pleasure to meet with Matjaž Malgaj, Kathrin Kutlescha, @Alberto Parenti & colleagues (not on picture) from the European Commission's units ENVI B4 and GROW I3 to discuss about the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, which is expected to prioritise furniture. We touched upon what the #furniture industry can expect in terms of next steps and timeline, as well as the opportunities to provide sector specific expertise in view of the future delegated act - through e.g. the preparatory study or the Ecodesign Forum. We also presented the ongoing work of standardisation committee CEN TC 207 - Furniture - on product aspects of the ESPR. We look forward to contributing in all next steps to share the views of our industry - mainly composed by #SMEs - on potential future requirements.
