BIG 🧲 update for Meta Ads lead generation. You can now 'Label' your Leads when you upload a new Customer List. 🧠 The following labels are available to choose from: - Qualified leads: Leads that meet your qualification criteria - Disqualified leads: Leads that don't meet your qualification criteria - Customers: Leads that have become customers 💡 Meta says that "Labels may be used to find audiences for your ads more effectively". So when you label your customer list, you're basically telling Meta about the quality of that list. Information they can then use to refine ad delivery. Edit: this thankfully doesn't appear to be impacting all accounts (which strengthens the argument it's a bug instead of an intended feature). Those of you who know me know I'm usually pretty balanced when it comes to Google "choices" but this is a pretty horrible one (especially for those who aren't as comfortable with Google Ads). When you switch from non-conversion based bidding (which is common for newer campaigns) to a conversion based bidding strategy, Google automatically toggles Broad Match campaigns on. This means your keywords that you took the time to add as phrase or exact will be converted to Broad match. I don't know if this is a new development, a bug, or something folks just haven't noticed, but make sure you confirm your keywords are as you intend if and when you change your bidding strategy. Luckily the campaign where this happened is still in building phase so there's no harm, but if this was an active campaign, it would be a terrifying development. P.S. One of the reasons people love using Optmyzr to manage their PPC is for PPC Insurance to catch anomalies like these.
