Balchem Animal Nutrition and Health is the global leader in choline production, chelation and encapsulation technology. With a growing portfolio of nutrition products and a dedication to innovation and industry sustainability, Balchem is leading the charge to meet the nutritional needs of ruminants, monogastrics and companion animals. The EMEA region is served via Balchem’s fully-owned subsidiary Balchem Italia, owning 2 manufacturing plants. The Marano Ticino site is the regional headquarters. It started production in 1968 and is the only backward-integrated choline chloride manufacturer in Europe, producing a wide range of CC liquid and CC dry grades. The Bertinoro plant, located in the center of the country and acquired in 2018, manufactures encapsulated products as well as prebiotics and spray-cooling products in state-of-the-art facilities. Both plants have an internal quality and R&D laboratory, allowing for the highest quality standards and for customized solutions which can meet our customers’ specific needs.
