16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence: A Call to Action From November 25 to December 10, the world unites for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a powerful global campaign to raise awareness and drive action toward eliminating violence against women and girls. This year’s theme, “Every 11 Minutes, One Woman is Killed”, reminds us of the urgent need to address this pervasive issue across all sectors of society—including workplaces, where violence and harassment remain significant challenges. 💡 Key Highlights: ILO Convention 190 (C.190) sets the global standard to combat workplace violence and harassment, promoting gender-sensitive and inclusive measures to ensure safety and dignity at work. The ILO Türkiye Office has made strides in creating a Zero Tolerance Culture, partnering with organizations like KARSAN OTOMOTİV and ISUZU to develop workplace policies aligned with C.190. Research from the ILO Türkiye Office reveals alarming figures: 1 in 4 women experience sexual violence in their working life, highlighting the critical need for systemic change. 📢 A Call for Action: It’s time for governments, employers, and workers to work together to ratify ILO Convention 190 and implement policies that foster safer, more inclusive workplaces. Violence in the workplace is not just a violation of rights—it’s a barrier to economic progress and human dignity. Join us during these 16 Days of Activism to reflect on the progress made, share solutions, and commit to doing more. Together, we can make the world of work a safer place for everyone. #16DaysOfActivism #EndViolence #ILO #GenderEquality #ZeroTolerance 🔗 Learn more about the ILO's efforts here: https://lnkd.in/dVQFbndG

🌱💼 Unlocking the Future of Work with Digital and Green Skills! The World Bank's latest report, "The Future of Work: Implications for Equity and Growth in Europe," provides critical insights into how technological advancements are reshaping the European labor market. For partners of the EXCEED program, focused on upskilling and reskilling through Vocational Education and Training (VET) in green and digital skills, this report offers valuable findings and recommendations. 🔍 Key takeaways of interest for EXCEED partners: 1️⃣ Technology Adoption in SMEs: Small firms in the EU are slow to adopt new technologies, and this gap presents an opportunity for targeted reskilling initiatives to bridge it. 2️⃣ Skills Mismatch: The report highlights that vocational education graduates are particularly vulnerable in the face of technological change. Upskilling in digital and green skills is essential to ensure that workers are equipped to thrive in the evolving labor market. 3️⃣ Educational Transformation: Vocational education systems must focus on building foundational skills, enabling graduates to adapt and continuously learn as green and digital technologies advance. 📊 For those driving innovation in vocational education and workforce development, this report sheds light on the critical need for agile, forward-thinking policies. It aligns perfectly with the EXCEED mission to empower workers with the skills needed to navigate the dual transitions of digitalization and sustainability. 🚀 EXCEED partners—this report is a must-read to guide your efforts in shaping a future-ready workforce! 🌍 🔗 Download the full World Bank report here: https://lnkd.in/daTj3WDy #FutureOfWork #EXCEED #Upskilling #Reskilling #GreenSkills #DigitalSkills #VET #WorkforceDevelopment #InclusiveGrowth

💼 Exploring the #SocialImpactAssessment (SIA) within the EXCEED Project 🌍 As part of our work on the #exceedproject, we are preparing to launch the first SIA survey to evaluate the communication, trust, and collaboration within our international partnership. 🔍 Key goals of the survey: Assess how frequently project members interact (both in-person and digitally). - Measure levels of trust and support among partners. - Evaluate the quality and quantity of knowledge-sharing practices. - Identify any barriers to collaboration, such as technical challenges or communication issues. The results of this survey will set a baseline for understanding how our collaborative efforts grow and evolve over the project’s duration. This is an exciting step as we strive to ensure that all stakeholders benefit socially and professionally from EXCEED’s activities! Special thanks to Mariaelena Romanini for her continued support. As #UNIMORE, we’re proud to contribute to developing innovative methodologies for assessing and enhancing collaboration and communication in Advanced Manufacturing. 🌟 Stay tuned for updates on the outcomes of this survey! #Socialimpact #DigitalEcoInnovation #Sustainability #AdvancedManufacturing #VET #Collaboration #SDGs #UNIMORE #exceedproject
