Tulfarris: hotel con bar

We stayed here on Sunday 9th of October. On arrival we were told our room wasnt ready (we were early to be fair). The receptionist offered to look after our bags and we had a lovely lunch in the bar sitting beside the fire-a wonderful start to our break. As aen aside the young guy who served us in the bar was very friendly and efficient and deserves to be recognised for his efforts. Our room (a suite) was only OK. The was a damp patch patch on the ceiling in the sitting room area from where I think the balcony upstairs was leaking. The curtain pole in our room had obviously previously become loose and had been reattached to the wall however the holes in the plaster were still visable. The whole room had a bit of an ”unkempt” feeling to it There was supposed to be a bottle of wine in our room with our deal. We asked about it when checking in and were told it would be delivered within a hour. Later than evening it still hadnt arrive so we had to make a phone call to chase it up. Not a huge deal but it just takes away from the experience somewhat. The corridors could definitely do with a proper clean and paint. The walls look grubby and dirty. While situated in a lovely area the outside of the hotel isnt that pleasant to look at-the car pack is full of weeds and over grown flower beds and some of the outside building need a paint (or to be knocked down as some are very ugly!) So while I would complement the staff its not a hotel I would be rushing back to Im afraid
