With 20+ parking zones, getting around Jersey has never been easier. 📱 App Enhancements: Our app now offers faster connections, real-time parking availability for A2B services, and intuitive navigation, making mobility seamless and stress-free. 🤝 Strong Partnerships: We’ve teamed up with Ports of Jersey, The Channel Islands Co-operative Society, Andium Homes, and others to enhance accessibility and convenience for islanders. 💸 Flexible Pricing: Introduced On/Off Peak pricing to make our services even more affordable and adaptable to your schedule. 👩💼 Commitment to Diversity: We’re proud to see female representation on our team grow from 10% to 25%—a significant step towards inclusivity. 💼 Living Wage Accreditation: We’ve prioritised fair pay for our team by becoming a Living Wage employer. 🚐 Fleet Expansion: Our fleet now includes 28 XEV YoYos, six new A2A vehicles (cars and vans), growing to a total of 55 vehicles across the islands. 🌍 Expanded Locations: We’ve increased parking and pick-up spots across Jersey and Guernsey, improving accessibility for our users. It’s been incredible to see how islanders have come together to make sure no child goes without this festive season. 🚐 You asked, we listened! 🚐 We’re excited to share that three larger vans are joining the EVie fleet, catering to your growing needs for more space and efficiency. Key features of these new additions: ▪️ Extra cubic meter of load space to handle bigger jobs with ease. ▪️ Higher range for those longer rentals. ▪️ Slightly wider and longer for bulkier items. ▪️ Three front seats so you can bring along the family / helpers. These vans are an enhancement, not a replacement, they’ll complement our existing fleet of 6 x e-NV200s taking us to 9 vans in Jersey. We’re placing these new vans in town and at Le Gallais Group 5 Oaks Self Storage, and excitingly, introducing more new locations soon. By expanding our network, we’re reducing unnecessary trips to hire a van, which means lower emissions, less congestion, and greater convenience for you, our users. 🤝💡 Last week, we hosted our quarterly eco active business breakfast and networking session. We heard from: 📢 Jersey Electricity on the need and problems facing decarbonising home heating. 📢 EVie talked to us about the power of shared transport, especially in relation to businesses and their new On Demand A2B program. 📢 Future Sustainable Finance Leaders introduced who they are, and their aims within Jersey's finance sector. The final eco active breakfast briefing of 2024 was a platform to delve into the advantages of shared fleets for businesses. These fleets offer a range of benefits, including cost savings, streamlined administration, reduced emissions, and valuable data insights crucial for impactful reporting. EVie plays a pivotal role in providing businesses with versatile, convenient, and eco-friendly transportation solutions. Whether for exclusive business use or as part of a progressive employee benefits package, businesses play a vital role in promoting behavioral shifts towards sustainability. With our fleet exceeding 50 vehicles, companies are empowered to enhance their sustainability efforts. UK statistics highlight that each shared vehicle can potentially replace between 14 and 32 privately owned vehicles, significantly alleviating road congestion and promoting environmental goals. Being an EVie business user transcends mere financial savings; it signifies active participation in creating a cleaner, less congested future for our communities. My thanks is extended to Eco Active for the opportunity, and to all the businesses that participated, with a special thanks to Abigail Syvret for all her support over the years. It’s always refreshing to bring some fun to the day job! I had a fantastic time speaking with the pupils at St. Michael's Preparatory School. Their level of engagement and the excellent questions they asked truly impressed me, some even sparked ideas for how we can enhance our services. Although it will be a few years before this group is old enough to use EVie, it’s inspiring to see them already thinking about the Why and the How behind shared, sustainable transport. The choices we make today and the positive changes we embrace will ultimately shape a better, greener future for them. Thank you, St. Michael’s, for the invitation! I hope some of the students left feeling inspired to spread the message of the sharing economy, one where active travel and shared electric transport make a healthier, more sustainable future possible for all of us.
