🎉 Happy Heroes’ New Home: Brig Y Don! 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that Happy Heroes has officially moved into our new home at Brig Y Don, and we kicked things off in the most magical way—with our very own Santa’s Grotto! 🎅 For many children with special needs and their families, meeting Santa can be a daunting experience. Busy environments, long queues, and time pressures can make the experience challenging. So, we created a grotto experience on their terms—calm, relaxed, and completely tailored to their needs. Families were able to take their time, letting children spend as long as they wanted with Father Christmas, with no rush or pressure to move on. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles, magical moments, and happy faces as children experienced the joy of Christmas in a way that suited them best. A huge thanks to Nick, our incredible Santa, for making this such a memorable experience for everyone involved. Your warmth and patience made all the difference! This week, I had the privilege of representing Happy Heroes - Children with additional needs at the Jersey Round Table Charity Ball, and I am truly humbled by the generosity and support we received. For families raising children with special needs, finding spaces that truly accommodate their needs can often feel like an impossible task. That’s why Happy Heroes exists—to provide safe, inclusive environments where children are celebrated for who they are and where parents and carers can find the understanding and support they need. In just over a year, we’ve had the joy of supporting 192 children and 164 families, running over 60 events that bring connection, belonging, and moments of joy to families who need them most. This work is only possible because of the incredible community that surrounds us, and the Jersey Round Table is a shining example of that generosity and belief in our mission. The kindness we felt at the Charity Ball, from those who attended to those who offered their support, is a testament to the power of community and collaboration. Thanks to this partnership, we can continue expanding our programs, reaching more families, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to feel like the hero they truly are. Sean McCrum, Senior Wealth Partner, and Edward Kane, Operations Manager, recently had the honor of presenting a plaque to Robyn Soley from Happy Heroes - Children with additional needs Charity on behalf of the Integritas Charitable Trust. This plaque celebrates the confirmation of a grant that will fund a Splashy Bath seat and a full support swing seat for Happy Heroes. Since its opening in April 2023, Happy Heroes has made an incredible impact, supporting 125 children with additional needs and 86 families. For parents and carers of children with special needs, the journey can often feel isolating and lonely. Happy Heroes has created a strong community where families feel less isolated, and children can thrive in a safe, supportive environment—free to be themselves without fear of judgment.
