Our Why … Dean Lowe was not only a dedicated colleague and friend but also an incredible inspiration to everyone who knew him. In 2023, he and Kiley Henley walked 26.2 miles in squirrel costumes for the Virtual London Marathon, raising money for Acorn Enterprises with smiles, laughter, and determination. This year, we’re coming together to honour his memory in true Dean style—with a whole lot of fun and a little nuttiness! 🐿️ Join us on Thursday, 13th March for the Squirrel Run 2025. Santa has delivered!   THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the Advent Calendar, where items from our Amazon Wishlist get ordered and sent to us as Christmas presents. There are paint brushes, craft scissors, thread and needles… as well as lots of plain white mugs for us to print and resell. All of them support our crafts and upcycling sessions at Acorn Enterprises providing work and training for Islanders who have a disability or long-term health condition. Cover the 26.2 miles of a marathon in Jersey, on a route of your own choice, broken up into as many parts as you wish, but completed within the 24 hours of Sunday 27 April.
