Our research found that 82% of family office professionals, including those working for multi-family offices, believe their organisations’ appetite for investment risk will increase, with one in eight (12%) expecting a dramatic increase. Annerien Hurter, Ocorian’s Global Head of Private Client, comments: “The long-term trend of family offices increasing their exposure to alternative asset classes is certainly a factor in the growing appetite for risk.” Mark Spiers, Partner at Bovill Newgate, adds: “Regulation is playing an increasingly critical role in shaping the investment strategies of family offices.” Read the forecasts from family offices questioned on how they expect exposure to different asset classes to change over the next 12 months: https://lnkd.in/em2enuXc #FamilyOffices #InvestmentRisk #Regulation

However, while 84% of people surveyed believe that Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors are part of fiduciary duty – especially on a continent that is feeling the effects of climate change – many families have not yet been able to address all three aspects simultaneously. Explore how families are balancing the various aspects of ESG on the continent. Download our Africa Regional Family Office report here: https://lnkd.in/eBxCFfaf #AfricanFamilyOffices #Fiduciary #ESG
