Lebanon’s waste management challenges, from overflowing landfills to plastic pollution, require urgent and innovative solutions. 🚮 In response, SPARK, CEWAS, and key stakeholders have united under the “From Innovation to Creation” programme, funded by the European Union, to drive sustainable change. 🌍 The collaborative policy paper proposes actionable solutions, such as introducing a minimum price for plastic bags and incentivizing alternatives to single-use products. These steps are designed to drive systemic change and reduce Lebanon’s dependence on a linear take-make-waste model. على مدار يومين في البحر الميت في الأردن، نظمت سيواس الاجتماع الأول لشبكة ريادة الأعمال في الشمال (المفرق وجرش) بمشاركة ثمانية وعشرين شريكًا من المحافظتين، حيث تم مناقشة الهيكل التنظيمي للشبكة والتعرف على مفاهيم سلاسل القيمة في النظم البيئية الريادية. قامت سيواس بتيسير نقاش شامل بين المشاركين لتوحيد رؤى الشركاء بشأن الشبكة وتجهيز أعضاء الشبكة بالمعرفة الريادية اللازمة. الهدف؟ تقديم خدمات فعالة لرواد الأعمال في شمال الأردن. تأتي هذه المبادرة ضمن إطار مشروع ريادة الأعمال من أجل التنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة والتوظيف (E4DE)، الذي تنفذه GIZ بالتعاون مع وزارة الاقتصاد الرقمي والريادة (MoDEE) وبتمويل من الحكومة الألمانية والاتحاد الأوروبي (EU). ----- Over two days at the Dead Sea in Jordan, Cewas held the 1st North Entrepreneurship Network meeting with twenty eight partners from Mafraq and Jerash gathered to shape the governance structure of the network, and to get introduced to the concepts of value chains in entrepreneurial ecosystems. Cewas facilitated a thorough discussion among to align partners’ visions for the network and to equip the network members with necessary entrepreneurial knowledge. The goal? To ensure robust services for entrepreneurs in northern Jordan.
