The EBRD Green Growth in Jordan Summit brought together key stakeholders to accelerate #green finance and sustainability efforts, reinforcing Jordan’s commitment to a greener future. The summit opened with remarks from Ms. Gretchen Biery, Director, Regional Head of Eastern Mediterranean, EBRD; H.E. Muawieh Radaideh, Minister of the Environment, Jordan; and Mr. Patrick Lambrechts, Head of Cooperation, EU Delegation to Jordan. We were pleased to kick off the event with an update on the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF), led by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, highlighting progress in driving green investments across Jordan. Additionally, panel discussions explored the challenges of green #finance in Jordan, as well as insights into green building practices, led by our Regional Director, Mr. Mert Dedebas, and Project Manager Mr. Bijan Osburg. Another key highlight was the EBRD Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP), which featured an introduction to Green #TFP and eligible products, followed by an insightful panel discussion on green #strategies and case studies from partner banks. The event concluded with closing remarks on Jordan’s ongoing transition to a greener #economy, reinforcing the collective efforts of financial institutions, policymakers, and industry leaders.
