Proud of our Chief Modding Officer!👏🏻 "𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚'𝒔 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘'𝒔 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔"
Excited to share that I’ve officially completed the #UnrealFellowship for Games from Unreal Engine, joining an incredible cohort of 100 industry professionals selectively chosen from around the world—and I’m proud to say I was the only participant representing the Middle East! 🌍 Coming from a background in game modding, this 3-week intensive program allowed me to take my skills to the next level in professional game development. During the Fellowship, I created 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧, a unique blend of hack-and-slash and rail shooter arcade genres, featuring a timing-based combat system. This project let me combine fast-paced melee combat with the dynamic flow of a rail shooter, creating an exciting hybrid gameplay experience into a new genre: 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥-𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 "𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚'𝒔 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘'𝒔 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔", is a saying that aligns perfectly with our vision at NeonRain, Inc., and I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, showing how skills developed through modding can lead to innovative and professional game development! I got to work with experts while learning advanced features like Blueprint programming, dynamic VFX, and component-based design, and got to meet amazing people and mentors that really made this experience very unique and awesome: Anurag Goel, Alberto Calvo Ferrara, Andreas Lott, Brandon Cestari, Cosmin Anton, Elena Dimopoulou, Eric Batlle Clavero, Fernanda Bermejo, Gianluca Camarca, Jaime Monedero March, James Doyle, Jose Manuel Guevara Sanchez, Lara Frank, Mads Sønderstrup, Mariam Dholkawala, Marta Vitos, Matthew Smart, May Wong, Partha Das, Sabrina P, Tim Rust, Victoria Bovshovskaya, 🎮 Mark Backler and so many others! I also can't thank enough everyone who was involved in organizing this amazing experience, my mentor Andrew Evdokimov, and all the other mentors and organizers who made sure to support us with all the questions and issues we had: Ed Bennett, James Henry Burton, Cathy Cheo-Isaacs, Stephanie Shickel, Peter Bottomley, Julie Lottering, Shenaz Baksh, Emanuele Salvucci, Neil Gallagher, Sean Spitzer and everyone else who made it happen! Transitioning from modding to professional development has been a rewarding challenge, and I’m grateful to Epic Games for providing this opportunity to push my creativity and skills even further! #UnrealEngine #EpicGames #GameDevelopment #UnrealFellowship #ModdingCommunity #CrimsonRain #RealTimeTech
