We at the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) are proud to have participated in the WAITRO Summit 2024: From Innovation to Impact – Strategies for Sustainable Solutions, held from November 13–15 in Nanjing, China. This event marked a celebration of remarkable achievements by our colleagues. Congratulations to Eng. Abeer Arafat, Senior Assistant to the President for Science, Technology & Innovation Liaison, on her re-election as the WAITRO Regional Representative for MENA for a second term (2025–2026). We also celebrate the exceptional contributions of our team: Eng. Rana Ardah, Manager of the Water Studies Division, who led the panel discussion Water Innovation: Towards Sustainable Communities, focusing on solutions to water crises in the MENA region. Dr. Othman Almashaqbeh, Manager of the Advanced Materials & Applications Division, whose project on hybrid constructed wetlands using Jordanian zeolitic tuff won in the SDG-Impact Poster Competition. Eng. Omar Saffouri, Studies Specialist at the National Energy Research Centre, whose project Enabling the Biogas Market was among the top seven finalists in the competition. Eng. Majd Shatnawi, Manager of the Building Codes Division, who showcased a poster on Jordan’s Urban Observatory, demonstrating innovative urban solutions.
