After a highly successful career spanning 19 years with Asahi Europe & International (AEI) and its former corporate entity SABMiller, our CEO Paolo Lanzarotti has decided to take early retirement from full-time executive activity effective 31st March 2025. Paolo will leave an indelible mark on Asahi, in particular his energy, passion in leading us as a purpose-led business, championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and creating meaningful connections with people and planet for a more sustainable future. Alongside this we are excited to announce that Paolo’s successor as CEO will be Dragos Constantinescu. Dragos is an experienced international leader who joined Asahi in 2019 as Managing Director for Ursus Breweries in Romania and Dreher Sörgyárak in Hungary, prior to being appointed as Managing Director for the Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, and Austria cluster in 2021 which includes Plzeňský Prazdroj. Dragos is deeply passionate about continuing to advance our business performance through innovation, our iconic brands and people. We connected with various tiers of the supply chain—from the fields to the factories—engaged with local partners and certification bodies and uncovered both challenges and opportunities to advance sustainability. This hands-on experience deepened our commitment to responsible sourcing and highlighted the importance of on-the-ground insights.
