概要
一般財団法人日本海事協会（ClassNK）は、人命及び財産の安全、環境保全への貢献を使命に、非営利の第三者認証機関として、検査、証明、規則制定、研究開発などを行っています。 ClassNKは120年以上の歴史にわたり、船級協会として、中立な第三者の立場から船舶の安全確保のための規則制定と検査を担い、商船の保険付保に必要となる「船級」を登録しています。 船舶・海洋構造物に関わる船級規則に基づき、船体構造、機関、艤装品、材料、その他各種システムなどに関わる図面審査及び立会検査を実施、基準に適合した船舶に船級を付与しています。ClassNKの船級を有する船舶の隻数は9,000隻以上、隻数において世界最大*の船級協会です。 ClassNKは技術団体として広く信頼されており、国際条約や地域規制に基づいて、船舶の船籍国（旗国）が実施すべき検査及び証書発行の代行権限を100か国以上から取得しています。 また、第三者認証機関としての長年の知見と経験を活かし、品質、環境、労働安全衛生など様々なマネジメントシステム認証、GHG排出量の検証、再生可能エネルギー関連設備に関わる認証など、認証サービスのフィールドを拡大しています。 ClassNKは、地球温暖化をはじめとした環境問題、デジタル化による社会の変革に対し、第三者認証機関としての役割を通じ、持続可能な発展への貢献に努めています。

🌿⚓ Advancing Green Shipping at the Green Shipping Conclave 2025 ⚓🌿 It was a privilege for ClassNK - Nippon Kaiji Kyokai to be part of the Green Shipping Conclave held on 20 February in Mumbai, jointly organized by the Directorate General of Shipping, India and The Institute of Marine Engineers (India)). With the IMO Secretary General as the Chief Guest and esteemed leaders from the Indian Government in attendance, the event fostered insightful discussions on green fuel technologies and strategies to achieve the IMO's GHG reduction targets. As a session sponsor, NK contributed actively to the discussions, Sumithran Sampath, GM of ClassNK Mumbai Office, played a key role in the event by chairing the technical paper presentation session titled “Green Horizons – Merging Technology, People, and Circular Maritime Practices.” The conclave brought together CEOs, industry experts, and government representatives, reinforcing the industry's commitment to a sustainable maritime future.
