JX Advanced Metals USA, Inc. celebrated grand opening of New Plant in Mesa, Arizona on Nov. 20. As advanced semiconductor manufacturers build one new base after another, Arizona is becoming a key location for the US semiconductor industry. JXUSA is responsible for manufacturing semiconductor sputtering targets and providing services in close proximity to customers, and the launch of the new plant will further strengthen this role. At the ceremony, Suwabe Takeshi, General Manager of the Thin Film Materials Division, said: "Recent developments in IT, AI, and mobility in the United States are remarkable. We would like to contribute to the development of the industry by supplying cutting-edge semiconductor materials from the new plant." In addition to Suwabe's remarks, the ceremony featured speeches by Mesa Mayor John Giles, Mesa Councilmember Scott Somers, and Devin Patterson, Vice President of Business Development at the Arizona Commerce Authority. In the future, it will not only flexibly expand sputtering target production capacity, but also serve as a site for new business development, and the Company intends to make it the center of US business in the advanced materials field. https://lnkd.in/gzEfmZdQ

We have announced that it has updated its Medium-Term Management Plan, the previous version of which was announced in May 2023, and have formulated medium- to long-term business strategies and business targets based on its current initiatives and business environment. https://lnkd.in/e8cuuk_H In order to ensure the implementation and realization of those strategies and targets, our group will work together to contribute to social development and innovation with advanced materials as a global leader in semiconductor and ICT materials. In addition, particularly to clearly show international stakeholders the kind of company that it aspires to be, we have decided to change its English-language trade name from JX Metals Corporation to JX Advanced Metals Corporation. Similar changes will roll out to our Group companies in the near future.

JX Metals Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation have entered into an agreement to establish a joint venture for the resource circulation of nonferrous metals from waste including home appliances, electronic equipment, and automotive lithium-ion batteries, with the aim of commencing operations around July 2024. The JV will leverage MC's global, cross-industry network and knowledge to enhance the collection of recyclable materials and promote recycling process reform and digitalization in cooperation with domestic and overseas recyclers. It also aims to contribute to the realization of a circular economy by providing solutions to challenges faced by automotive OEMs and general electronics manufacturers based on the resource circulation of nonferrous metals. The EPIC Distinguished Award is the second-highest honor a supplier can achieve. In 2024, only 27 suppliers in the Intel supply chain network earned this award. To qualify for an Intel EPIC Distinguished Supplier Award, suppliers must exceed expectations, meet aggressive performance goals, and score 80 percent or higher in performance assessments throughout the year.
