Earlier this month, we successfully concluded our fifth exhibition at the annual China International Import Expo (CIIE), establishing strong connections with key stakeholders from the government, customers, and media in the region. CIIE, hosted by the China Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai government, is the most comprehensive and highest-level trade show in China. This year, it attracted 3,496 exhibitors from various industries and over 852,000 visitors. At the LIXIL booth, we showcased our achievements in innovation and sustainability, featuring our power brands: GROHE, American Standard, INAX, and LIXIL Kitchen. Our new product, GROHE PUREFOAM, amazed visitors with its one-switch transition from water to bubble shower. It was acclaimed as an innovative product by the CCTV media outlet. We also warmly welcomed numerous government officials, including the Vice Mayor of Shanghai. Sponsored by the local government, we signed strategic partnerships with five top state-owned developers in Shanghai, further strengthening cooperation for urbanization projects. “Through the CIIE platform, we hope more Chinese people will get to know the LIXIL brand and love our products. LIXIL Presents Efforts to Decarbonize Buildings at COP29 We are thrilled to share that LIXIL participated as a panelist for the first time at the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held this month in Baku, Azerbaijan. In our presentation, we highlighted our key developments for reducing operational carbon emissions and embodied carbon emissions, including promoting the circular economy: 🔎PremiAL, recycled aluminum building material- Smelting new ingots requires a significant amount of electricity. In contrast, using recycled aluminum can reduce 97% of CO₂ emissions from this process. 🌱revia, new circular building material-revia can be made from almost all waste plastic. Utilizing waste that otherwise can't be recycled reduces emissions by 80% per tonne. By imagining a future where environmentally damaging materials are given a second life in useful products, we continue our commitment to make better homes a reality for everyone, everywhere. How Did Ivan Choo Transform from an Analyst to a Sales Leader at LIXIL? Meet Ivan Choo, a Flagship Store & PCS Sales Leader whose story is a testament to how LIXIL Behaviors have been empowering our employees to embrace new challenges. Starting at LIXIL in 2014, Ivan had a background in Accounting and Finance, and had taken up the role of a Business Analyst. However, this soon transformed into something beyond numbers, as he led the charge for our Singapore Flagship Store and Premium Customer Sales. He recounts his experience of being pushed out of his comfort zone, and how this was one of the best opportunities to grow. Ivan shares the various ways in which he felt supported and how it helped him enjoy the challenges that came his way. "One of our LIXIL Behaviors is ‘Experiment and Learn’.
