[EVENT] - A recap of the 6th ASEAN - Japan Smart Cities High-Level Meeting 🌏
On the 29th of October, our Managing Director for the APAC region - Adrien COHIDON had the honor of representing Navya alongside our shareholder Macnica, at the 6th ASEAN - Japan Smart Cities High-Level Meeting in Tokyo.
As a reminder, the ASEAN - Japan Smart Cities High-Level Meeting is💡
Organized by the Japanese Association for Smart Cities in ASEAN (JASCA), this event:
- Brings together public and private players to promote partnerships in smart city solutions between Japan and ASEAN.
- Showcases the innovations of Japanese companies to senior foreign authorities in ASEAN, including representatives from Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia & Thailand.
The agenda 📆
Morning: High level meeting, bringing together government officials, including Members of Parliament and Secretaries General to discuss the development challenges for smart cities in the ASEAN region.
In the afternoon, the exhibition opened its doors to all visitors for a business matching where companies and innovation players were able to present their advanced technological solutions for smart cities. Among the exhibitors, I discovered companies specialised in:
- Water management, with innovative sensors for monitoring flow and quality,
- Cloud storage and processing solutions,
- Smart cameras for urban security
In addition to the booths, exhibitors also hosted conferences, offering a chance to explore the challenges and innovations shaping smart cities in greater depth.
Alongside Yasuyuki Fukuta - Director Smart city & Mobility business unit Strategic innovation business group, Macnica, Adrien co-presented our cutting-edge technologies for autonomous mobility and their application in smart cities.
The day ended with a networking cocktail, an ideal opportunity to meet other players in the sector.
What are the next steps? ⏭️
Our aim is to boost our presence in the APAC region together with Macnica. This event illustrated our joint commitment to boost the development of autonomous mobility solutions in the APAC region and to operate effectively together.
