We are delighted to welcome two new partners, Benoit Servais and Kristina Winkelmann, to our Brussels office. Benoit is a partner in our international trade practice. He has more than 30 years of experience working in Brussels, advising clients from Europe, Asia, North Africa, and Middle East on EU regulations, trade remedies, and litigations before the EU Courts. He has has been involved in more than 160 EU anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations since 1992 for clients from around the world. Kristina is a partner in our antitrust and international trade practice, leading our EU Competition Law team. She has practiced for over 8 years at a leading international law firm in Brussels. She draws on first-hand experience from the European Commission in Brussels and the Japan Fair Trade Commission in Tokyo. In January, we welcomed Eiji Chatani as Of Counsel to Nishimura & Asahi. After graduating from The University of Tokyo in 1986, Eiji joined the Ministry of Finance. He was involved in a wide range of policy planning, legislative drafting, and amendments, including legislation for the "Financial Big Bang," while working in departments such as the Securities Bureau and the Budget Bureau. In 2022, he was appointed Vice Minister of Finance and retired in 2024. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Institute, Mizuho Research & Technologies, Ltd..
