AI drug discovery has been attracting attention in the pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries due to its ability to streamline research and for the development of new drugs. To realize this discovery, it is vital to lower the cost of infrastructure development and security measures. In an effort to strengthen Japan's industrial competitiveness, NTT, along with Mitsubishi Corporation, Morgenrot Inc. and iPark Institute Co., Ltd., has launched a joint demonstration experiment of remote provision of GPU computing power between Shonan Health Innovation Park and data centers operated by MCデジタル・リアルティ株式会社. Through this demonstration, NTT will leverage its IOWN All-Photonics Network (APN) technology to establish a safe infrastructure construction model for AI analysis that can be used in various industrial clusters such as Shonan iPark and will contribute to strengthening Japan's industrial competitiveness. #NTT #Research #IOWN #APN #AI

In collaboration with Nokia and Anritsu, NTT has found that dynamic rerouting of the mobile fronthaul is possible by using the IOWN All-Photonics Network (APN). This new findings will enable dynamic Distributed Unit (DU) base operations during mobile traffic fluctuations and failures, reducing power consumption and service impact. In the future, NTT, Nokia and Anritsu plan to experiment with the power reduction effect of IOWN's dynamic route changes and shorten the time required for dynamic rerouting to minimize the impact on service--working towards the goal of achieving a highly power-efficient and resilient network.
