Renesas recently hosted an inspiring day for 54 students at our Aschheim office, in partnership with Inspiring Girls International. The day included lab tours, technology demonstrations like a touch-detection steering wheel, and hands-on activities with SnapC kits. Students also participated in speed networking with our female role models, gaining valuable insights into STEM careers. They also took part in a basic electronics measurements exercise challenge with prizes for the fastest team. This was our first time hosting this event in Germany, and the positive feedback from participants has been incredible. Students left feeling motivated to explore careers in STEM, and we’re proud to have played a role in inspiring the next generation of talent. What better way of training students to have a product mindset and be industry ready, than to coach them in building applications on our Renesas boards. In just under six months since signing the MoU at IIT-Hyderabad, our Renesas India University Team delivered a one-of-a-kind of course on Embedded Systems. Students were taught the theory and then went on to build solutions with Renesas boards. The course culminated in a Demo Day, where students enthusiastically showcased their designs to the Renesas Country Head, Malini Narayanamoorthi, and the University team. We believe such courses and experiential learning create a significant impact on the way young engineers look at semiconductors and product design. We extend our thanks to Prof. B.S. Murty, Director of IIT-Hyderabad and Prof. Siva Vanjari for their support in executing this unique course with the Renesas team. Heartening to see the below comments from students of IIT-Hyderabad: “This course has helped me gain a better understanding of the industry. The projects that were given us to do, were very insightful as well”. “The Introduction to Embedded Systems course by Renesas provided a solid foundation in embedded systems with practical insights.
