Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) released a new range of small home appliance products equipped with advanced technology at the end of 2024. 4 new types of digital rice cookers: KS-DS18-WH, KS-DW18-BK, KS-DF18-RD, and KS-DI18-SL with a capacity of 1.8 liters. 4 new types of vacuum cleaners: A cordless vacuum cleaner (EC-SF74Y-BK), a cordless 3-in-1 (Wet, Dry & Mop) type (EC-WE77Y-BK), a wet and dry vacuum type (EC-WE16Y-BK) with a capacity of 21 liters, and a bagless canister type (EC-EF70Y-BK). 1995 LC font I would like to talk about LC (Liquid Crystal) font for LCD displays, introduced in1995. Around 1990, during the era of electronic organizers, people wanted to manage schedules, have language dictionary functions, and even try fortune-telling... There were so many things they wanted to do, but the memory capacity of the product itself was small. So, they devised a way to create memory cards for different purposes and use them by inserting and removing them from the main unit. Eventually, the memory capacity increased, and various software could be installed on the main unit. However, at that time, the screens were still small and coarse, so only katakana, hiragana, and the alphabet could be displayed. Therefore, the LC font technology was developed to display text even on coarse, small screens. #Sharp_global #sharp #Inhistory

Double-Sided TV (1967): What was the "Be Original." discovery made in the pursuit of flat-screen TVs? A joint project with Sharp Technology Innovation Museum commemorating its 40th anniversary: "IN HISTORY" In an era when broad CRT TVs were mainstream, founder Tokuji Hayakawa was one of the first to work on making TVs thinner, aiming for the dream of a wall-mounted TV. While making unique improvements to the screen output method, such as the direction of electron flow and making electrodes transparent, the mechanism of the "double-sided TV," which outputs images on both the front and back of the TV screen, was discovered by chance. When the prototype was featured at electronics shows and on TV programs, its innovative technology became a big topic. This development, which made people imagine new ways to enjoy TV, such as "placing it in the center of a table to watch face-to-face" or "embedding it in a wall to watch from separate rooms," not only increased trust in Sharp's technology but also raised great expectations for the practical use of flat-screen TVs.
