Two of our research advancements were recently presented at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) 2024:
1️⃣ Invisible Watermark Detection: Our WaterMark Detector (WMD) offers a black-box solution for detecting hidden watermarks in AI-generated content. This novel method can help prevent AI models from training on copyrighted material and protect creators' intellectual property.
2️⃣ Background Augmentation: Using diffusion models, we've enhanced object detection by augmenting image backgrounds, potentially improving AI robustness in fields like autonomous transportation and medical imaging.

AI models are powerful but not perfect. Many still rely on irrelevant patterns, leading to biased decisions.
Take, for example, the misclassification of birds based on their background rather than their features. Sony AI's Targeted Augmentations for Bias Mitigation (TAB) aims to correct these shortcuts, ensuring AI systems focus on the right details.
In a new blog post, we explore how TAB works, its real-world applications, and how it's making AI more reliable and fair. Join us in the journey toward a more equitable AI future.
