Creattura is a Climate Tech startup founded in Tokyo in 2022. We use finance and technology to develop innovative solutions to climate change. We are currently building a data platform for measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) of climate impact from sustainable rice agriculture.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our Information Technology / Digital Transformation Team (IT/DX Team). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting geospatial data and Internet of Things (IoT) sensor data. This is a great opportunity to work with a highly dynamic team to provide data-driven insights that will shape our strategies and decision making processes. The ideal candidate is proficient in geospatial analysis and has a passion for climate solutions through remote sensing.
Key Responsibilities:
● Collect, manage, and analyze geospatial and IoT data from various sources.
● Create and deliver high-quality maps, reports, and presentations useful to ongoing projects.
● Assist in delivering project requirements to customers.
● Support internal research for the promotion of the application of earth observation satellites (remote sensing) in carbon project methodologies.
● Support the integration of geospatial data into existing systems and workflows.
● Stay updated with the latest advancements in geospatial technologies and tools.
● Proactively do research on other possible applications of remote sensing in available carbon project methodologies.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geography, Geophysical Science or a related field (or in the last year of degree completion).
● Proven experience in geospatial data analysis and visualization.
● Proficiency in Python, and other GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar tools.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
● Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Passionate in climate solutions, remote sensing and digital transformation.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Master’s degree in a related field.
● Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Earth Engine.
● Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to spatial data.
