The Dean Hotel is a boutique hotel just off Eyre Square in Galway. It's only a 5-7 minute walk from the pubs and shops in downtown Galway. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You have a choice of two restaurants. Elephant and Castle is on the ground floor and from Sophie's on the top floor you can see downtown Galway and the bay. The rooms are cheerful, comfortable and ours had a turntable with a couple of LPs. There were a few more LPs in the lobby. The outdoor pool is heated and was very popular during our stay.

This is an amazing hostel with a superb standard of both service and staff who interact with you exceptionally well and are very knowledgeable about Galway and surrounds..I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was both warm and comfortable and the level of security was excellent..Well worth a visit..

We had a very nice time at the Hyde Hotel in Galway. It is very centrally located which was helpful for anyone without a car. It was also just a 3 minute walk from the train station, which was very convenient. All the staff was very helpful, gave us recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We got the Bed and Breakfast option, and it was definitely worth it. Their breakfast was delicious, we especially liked the pancakes. Our only slight disappointment was that our room did not have A/C, but the window did open to get fresh air and they had a fan in our room which helped. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Galway.

My family and I were so delighted to stay for 2 amazing nights at The G Hotel and Spa to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. I only wish we could have stayed longer! Hazel, one of the amazing Guest Experience Managers, helped us to book our stay with such ease! She was so attentive and answered all of our questions. I am so grateful to have had her help and guidance. She is so wonderful! Upon our arrival we were greeted by Lucia who looked after us so well, we received a lovely warm drink and she treated our 2 children to a hot chocolate each, our little ones were in their element! We found our room super easy and wow what a room it was!! We had our very own Christmas tree which our kids wrote their Santa letters under on our second night, the photos we have are absolutely priceless. Lucia and Hazel had wrote special welcome cards just for us and my husband had arranged an anniversary dessert platter with Hazel which was the cherry on top. To say I felt like a princess is an understatement! The room was so clean and comfortable, the bed felt like a cloud and the bathroom was like a trip to the spa! I loved the decor and all the little touches the room had. The view from our room being a huge plus! We enjoyed cosy movies on the couch in our suite and slept so soundly! We had an amazing breakfast both of the mornings as well with Michaela as our sever, our son absolutely adored her, especially when she brought him Nutella! She was so sweet and kind and treated us so well. We also met another wonderful server named Carina I think! We loved every minute of our stay and cannot wait to visit again! Hopefully for longer next time as there is so much to do there and we didn’t get to do it all. I was so sad to come home! We are very grateful to all of the fantastic staff, thank you all for everything you do. Our memories are what we will treasure forever and we know when we come back our stay will be just as special and amazing!

5 star, amazing experience and staff. This hotel sets the bar. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with 42 Christmas trees throughout the property. Dinner at the pullman is also a must. Beds extremely comfortable. We will be back, hopefully soon.

Currently eating in the Grain and Grill restaurant. Cannot reccomend this place enough. Beautiful choices on the carvery menu with something to suit everyone. We got the pork chops with mushroom sauce, generous servings of mashed potato, roasted potatoes and veg. Dean - Our server went through all the options with me and my Mom. He is great at his job and very friendly towards every customer that comes in (im over hearing him dealing with other people). A true gent and the Maldron is lucky to have him Charlotte - took our payment and was so nice and friendly in doing so. Its lovely to be comfortable and have very friendly staff. Myself and my Mom most certainly will be back for our meals out. So local, plenty of parking, beautiful and clean restaurant too. 11/10 for sure
