A group of us arrived for one night before catching an early flight at the nearby airport. Half the group were given keys that didn’t work for their rooms and had to go back to reception. My key worked but as soon as I plunged it into the key slot on the wall of my room the whole key slot fell off the wall and I was plunged into darkness. They weren’t surprised when I told them about this problem so I suspect it hasn’t been fixed. The room was fairly spacious and clean but there was no towel or toilet paper. Fortunately, I noticed this early enough. Others didn’t and were caught short. The staff tried to pillage toilet paper from other rooms but all of them had no paper. They finally gave me the industrial size toilet paper from the lobby toilet. Several of our group were missing their bottled water. Hotel seemingly has no inventory management. The WIFI didn’t work. The restaurant is on the 6th floor and sports a decent view of Oran from wrap around windows. The menu is decent too and the food quality acceptable. However, I waited 2.15 minutes for an omelette only to be told they ran out of eggs and would have to go buy some. At least that meant they had eggs for breakfast the next morning (20 minutes) and were willing to prepare breakfast at 5 AM for our group. I give them credit for that though it was very slim pickings if you didn’t have time to wait for your omelette. The kitchen and other hotel staff sat in the 6th floor stairwell and smoked during our meal wafting cigarette smoke our way. There are loads of hotels nearby including international chains like Four Points Sheraton. Do yourself a favor and stay there.
