ゲゲストWe have stayed at this lovely hotel for the past three years as it is the perfect stopover when driving from the UK to the île de Re. Thomas is always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are stylish and spacious and the breakfast which can be served on the enclosed terrace, weather permitting, is delicious. Easy parking nearby. We love this charming small hotel. Angers is a lovely town with interesting buildings and a stunning cathedral and castle. Highly recommended.
AafshinmoazzamVery clean and comfortable. The location is perfect as it is very proximate to the train station and most of the city is in reach either by walk or by close tram and bus stations.
Petite chambre mais le matelas est excellent. Equipement standard. Accès facile depuis l'axe Paris/Tours/Nantes/Le Croisic. A proximité aussi du centre-ville piétons, du Château, promenades en bateaux sur La Maine, etc... Parc souterrain de stationnement à...200mètres. Chambres calmes. Accueil parfait. Petits-déjeuners moyens.
We had a rental car with us, so having some spaces out front of this hotel to temporarily park our car to unload our luggage to check in was priceless. There is a garage near by just a short walk away. The front desk staff were always friendly. English speaking so that was helpful since our French is very poor. The location is superb. Restaurants, patisserie, small grocery store, café all just steps away. We also walked to visit Chateau Angers and the cathedral from here. No need to drive anywhere. In the early morning, there were street noise noticeable from delivery and road traffic. Some notes for travelers: the hotel did not have AC. Only on the ground level with AC where reception is located. That was tough for the afternoon since it was warm. But once the sun went down, we were able to open the windows to let some cool air in. Also, the hotel does have an elevator, but that is on a floor up. If you are unable to lift luggage or walk stairs, need to keep that in mind. The front desk does assist with luggage if needed.
MMark EThe images on the website must have been from years ago when the hotel was first built or when it was last refurbished if it has ever been refurbished. The condition of the hotel fixtures and fittings was very poor and dilapidated. The staff were very welcoming but none of them could speak a word of English. To be fair I can’t speak French but I’m not the host. There was some reason that the roads around the hotel were all closed off, it was either for the market or possibly because the authorities were expecting unrest due to protests over the French elections. This meant we couldn’t drive to the car park by the hotel and had to park a good 0.5km walk away and carry our heavy luggage to the hotel. I appreciate that this was not the hotels fault but they could have let guests know before their arrival instead of us driving round and round trying to find a route to the hotel. We were a group of 4 in 2 cars driving from Northern Spain through France to the UK. We stayed in hotels San Sebastián, Bordeaux, Saint Amelia (chateau) Vanes, and Honfleur staying in hotels everyone of which were superb but whilst the bed was very comfortable that was the only positive about this hotel in Angers.
