I had a great time hosting Acorn Holdings Limited's inaugural Investor Day as the company walked investors through purpose built student accommodation & the investment opportunity it presents. Acorn is not only a pioneer in transforming student accommodation into a bankable asset class open to not just institutional but also retail investors, the company is also a pioneer in the issuance of green debt instruments in the region. We had a particularly enriching discussion on the structuring of both Development & Income Real Estate Investment Trusts (D-REITs & I-REITs), valuation & how the latter plays a critical offtake role for the former.
