The #ARABIKAProject is distributing EcoPulper machines to 7 cooperatives across 7 counties to promote modern coffee processing. 👉 What’s an EcoPulper? An EcoPulper is a cutting-edge coffee processing machine that removes coffee pulp from beans while using up to 80% less water than traditional methods. These machines represent a step toward sustainability and profitability, benefiting both farmers and the environment. With these EcoPulper installations, the ARABIKA Project, with funding from Italian Agency for Development Cooperation - Nairobi Office is helping cooperatives adopt smarter, greener practices while empowering farmers to achieve better productivity and incomes. This is a win for the #farmers and for the #planet. #Sustainablefarming #PeopleForDevelopment #EmpoweringFarmers

This week, AVSI Foundation with the funds from AVAID distributed pressure cookers to 100 households in #Kibera. The initiative aims to promote resilience for these families by reducing the cost of fuel, enhancing cooking efficiency and reducing emissions that could affect family’s health. The cohort has also received training on nutrition and clean cooking options that are not only cleaner but also cost-effective, safer, and faster, and designed to meet the cooking needs and financial capacities of low-income users. #PeopleForDevelopment
