Our Head, Sustainability spoke at the Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) ESG Summit where she emphasized the importance of integrating ESG principles into business strategy and operations. Highlighting the business case for sustainability, she highlighted key issues around responsible banking and drew synergies between environmental, social and governance factors in organizations.   Further, she made a call to action for all financial institutions to embed best practices in ESG planning and reporting, coupled with the right systems, structures and partnerships. She acknowledged the need for specialized training on ESG in organizations and the need for the private sector to work closely with the government and the regulators to drive adoption and integration of ESG.   In closing, she affirmed our commitment to sustainability and advocacy for ESG practices across the industry.    We have aligned our sustainability strategy to our purpose which is to drive Kenya and South Sudan’s growth. In 2022, The Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) and FSD Africa established an ESG Africa Taskforce to drive and support the financial sector's readiness to manage ESG risks and support green finance.
