Margaret shared practical strategies to advance women’s leadership, such as: ✅ Involvement of women and consideration of gender inclusivity in policy formulation ✅ Creating opportunities in the value chain that attract gender inclusivity. ✅ Redesigning work environments for inclusivity and investing in capacity building ✅ Leveraging gender-lens financing for measurable impact Eunice Mutua Director of Select Fresh Produce Kenya Ltd an agribusiness export company working with farmers, agri-SMEs, and stakeholders across Kenya, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, emphasized the power of partnerships and collaboration citing examples of inter governmental partnerships to ensure accountability and foster inclusivity. KCV seeks to accelerate the development of transformative solutions that mitigate and/or help adapt in adaptation to climate change by making patient-capital commercial investments in small to medium early-stage enterprises that are focused on the climate space such as climate-smart agriculture, energy efficiency and/or conservation, renewable energy, water management, and forestry conservation amongst others. The ultimate goal is for them to scale their markets and receive follow on investing. By so doing, KCV will also facilitate the attainment of social, environmental and economic returns.
