Held at the West Africa Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) in collaboration with the University of Ghana, this event spotlighted the AAS flagship programs, APTI (Africa Pathways to Innovation) and 𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘 (𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲). Our support included: • Event Coverage: Capturing the seminar’s key moments through storytelling, live updates, and visuals. • Stakeholder Messaging: Amplifying insights from AAS leaders and university partners. • Impact Stories: Showcasing how APTI and ARISE empower scientists, foster collaboration, and address Africa’s critical challenges. • Media Outreach: Expanding the reach of AAS’s initiatives across digital and traditional platforms. The event highlighted AAS’s mission to nurture 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻-𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 while driving 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟲𝟯’𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗪𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁.” By sharing Ghana’s role as a hub for impactful initiatives, we helped illustrate how investing in local talent and infrastructure transforms communities. Our collaboration with AAS demonstrates how strategic communication strengthens awareness and support for Africa’s research agenda. Together, we amplify the voices of African scientists and their efforts to create solutions that advance the continent.
