Have a great convention!
👏 👏Go team, go!! The Wyss Academy for Nature Hub East Africa is—alongside partners Green Earth Warriors, Tambuzi Garden Roses, and the National Museums of Kenya—proudly in attendance at the 18th Annual Planners Convention hosted by the KENYA INSTITUTE OF PLANNERS. This year’s event takes place in sunny Mombasa at the Pride Inn Paradise Resort, and features plenaries, presentations, and exhibitions around the theme “Planning Towards Sustainable Food Systems and Ecosystems Management: Realizing a Food Secure and Productive Nation”. In addition to a booth showcasing landscape restoration outputs, the Wyss Academy and partners delegation will also deliver two presentations at the high-level event. The first by Benson Okita-Ouma, PhD., Hub Director, titled “Harnessing Semi-Circular Bunds for Community-Led Rangeland Revival: A Participatory Approach to Resource Planning and Management” and the other co-presented by Antony Wandera, Hub Projects Manager, and Victor Otieno, National Museums of Kenya, titled “A Catalytic Approach to Food Security and Healthy Rangelands in ASALs: a Case Study of Elephant Mushrooms in Northern Kenya”.
