  • At Tigal Water Splash 💧, we’ve created countless memorable moments as we work to uplift and empower communities. However, we've faced a challenge: capturing these impactful moments with the quality they deserve. Our current method of using a regular phone for photography often results in low-quality images that don't do justice to the incredible work being done. We are reaching out to potential donors for support in acquiring a professional camera for our fieldwork. Having a high-quality camera would greatly enhance our ability to document our projects, capture the true essence of our work, and share these powerful stories with a broader audience. With better quality photos, we can: 1. Raise Awareness: Vivid and clear images can help us effectively communicate the impact of our projects and the needs of the communities we serve. 2. Boost Fundraising: High-quality visuals are a crucial part of compelling presentations and fundraising campaigns, helping us secure more support. 3. Increase Engagement: Engaging and professional photos will improve our presence on social media and other platforms, attracting more supporters and partners. 4. Create Lasting Records: Quality photos provide a valuable archive of our work, preserving our history and progress for future generations. We believe that with the right tools, we can better showcase the transformative work being done and inspire more people to join our cause. If you or anyone you know can help us with a camera donation, it would make a significant difference in our ability to document and share our journey. #CommunityEmpowerment #DonateACamera #SupportOurMission #QualityMatters #FieldWorkPhotography

Tigal Water Splash 💧 Efforts in Rehabilitating Wells and Water Pumps Across Kenya: In our ongoing endeavor to improve access to clean water, Tigal Water Splash 💧has assessed quite a number of pumps installed in Kenya . Many of these pumps, utilizing outdated technology, have deteriorated over time, hindering access to vital water resources. With the generous support from partners, we’ve successfully repaired 60 wells thus far. However, there's still much work to be done to achieve our vision of comprehensive change. We’re reaching out to like-minded organizations for assistance in our mission to overhaul these water boreholes and pumping systems. Our aim is to not only repair the wells but also modernize them with sustainable solutions such as solar or grid electricity-powered pumping mechanisms. Together, let's ensure that every community has access to safe and reliable water sources. Join us in our journey towards lasting impact and transformation. #WaterForAll #CommunityDevelopment #CleanWater #SustainableDevelopment #RenewableEnergy #SolarPower #GreenEnergy #UNICEF #KenyaDevelopment #tranforminglives

Water - the elemental elixir, flowing through veins, nourishing cells, sustaining life. Have we taken water today? If not, pause and grab a cup. Hydrate with two full glasses - feel it refresh, renew, and revitalize. Our bodies and minds thrive when properly hydrated. Now recharged with cool, clear fluid, let's dive deeper to explore water's profound impact. Water is essential to our health and well-being. Experts even recommend drinking at least 8 cups of water daily for proper hydration and optimized bodily functioning. Staying hydrated is crucial as we go about our daily activities. The benefits of drinking adequate water daily include 💧Waste elimination. 💧Healthy skin, hair, and nails. 💧Body temperature regulation. 💧Proper joint, eye, and tissue lubrication 💧Improved digestion and nutrient absorption. 💧Increased brain function and energy levels. 💧Enhanced physical performance and exercise ability. However, we cannot thrive on unsafe, contaminated water. Globally, nearly 2 million deaths annually are attributed to unsafe drinking water, sanitation, and poor hygiene. To protect human and ecological well-being, we must reduce sources of water pollution through actions like 💧Reusing, recycling, and avoiding plastics. 💧Properly disposing of hazardous waste. 💧Keeping trash out of waterways. 💧Using eco-friendly products. 💧Maintaining septic systems. 💧Preventing chemical runoff. 💧Conserving water. Access to clean, fresh water is a basic human right. By becoming mindful citizens who reduce waste, conserve water, and prevent pollution, we can work collectively to ensure safe drinking water is available to all communities globally. Clean water is a basic right and should be made universally accessible. Today marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism 2024, a time dedicated to raising awareness and standing against gender-based violence. Each day, we will focus on the challenges faced by women and girls, especially when it comes to the hidden issue of sextortion—when essential services like water are withheld unless sexual favours are given. This abuse of power has no place in our communities. Every person deserves safe, dignified access to life’s necessities without fear of violence. Let us jointly help end this cycle of exploitation and create safe spaces for all. #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBV #SafeSpaces

Schools can be a key factor in initiating change by helping develop healthy hygiene habits. Good hygiene behavior learned at an early age can lead to lifelong positive habits. School children can also influence the behavior of family members, both adults and siblings, and positively influence the community as a whole. 11 Reasons why #sanitation 🚽 🚻 #marketsbasedapproach in #Kenya and maybe other countries is still stuck at pilots, number 1-11 will shock 🤯 you: 1.      The Gatekeepers of Sanitation: Most of the Public health professionals are convinced that only 'sanitation people' (whatever that means) are qualified to work in sanitation #marketsbasedapproaches. 2.      Tech Saves Everything: Also they believe #technology alone can solve 90% issues of our sanitation crisis. ***In comes the #GlobalNorth from No.3-11 3.      Degrees, Please: #LocalEntrepreneurs are the heroes of the story, they (the Global North) even want to work with them but they best hold a degree. 4.      Be Creative, But Obedient: They expect you to be authentic, creative and take #risks but you must follow their rules and restrictions that got lots of safe alternatives… Even their emails scream, “STOP! That’s not how we’ve always done it!” 5. Original Ideas... That Aren't Yours: They demand “original #innovative solutions,” but only if they’ve been tested, stamped, by a #GlobalNorth organization. Bonus points if you call it a “pilot” instead of “copy-paste.” 6.      Borrow, Steal, Adapt: If you #pitch a good idea, congratulations! They’ll take it (copy), repackage it, implement it and term it “#adaptation.” You? Oh, you’re just “an inspiration.” 7.      Trust Issues: You can only be #trusted, if you can be controlled.  8.       Bought, Not Built: Stick to their playbook, and they’ll label you “#marketready,” which means they’ll invest in you (or, more accurately, buy you). 9.      The Facilitation Fee Fiasco: They’ll fund you 100%, but with a catch. Staff quietly demand highs of 50% as a "facilitation fee." You’ll still be expected to deliver sparkling results—on half the budget. Good luck! 10.  The "Level Playing Field" Illusion: The global north donor said the playing field is even. But what they meant is that they'll bring in their own proven prescribed ideas and technology from their countries, fund their corporates heavily, make them the partner of choice on products and services. The locals will have to compete with them. Odds of winning: slim to none. After all they are not yet proven. They are not endorsed. Eventually the market they claimed they'll #disrupt they've now #distorted 11.  Blaming the Market: When it all inevitably flops, they shrug and say, “The sanitation market in Kenya just isn’t viable.” But how can it be if the rules of engagament including parameters for measurement of impact are foreign and un-localised? 📌 Let’s start giving real sh*t about sanitation.
