Blood donation is a vital act of kindness that can save lives. By donating blood, you not only help those in need during emergencies or medical procedures, but you also contribute to the overall health of your community. Benefits of donating blood include improving your own health by reducing iron levels, potentially lowering the risk of certain diseases, and the satisfaction of knowing you've made a significant difference in someone's life. Plus, it's a great way to meet new people, engage with your community and learn so many cool facts about it. Did you know one pint saves up to 3 lives?! Wow! We at Uhai Life Sciences would like to appreciate Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority (KETTA) Nairobi Regional Blood Transfusion Services (RBTS) center at Kenyatta National Hospital., AIESEC at University of Nairobi, our blood donors, volunteers and all who made it possible for us to collect 130 pints during our blood drive on 14th November 2024 in Nairobi. Let us save a life by ensuring our blood banks have enough blood quantities for patients in critical need. You could support our blood drives and donor advocacy campaigns through this link:

Welcome Rachael and your colleagues from Amref International University (AMIU) to the Uhai Life Sciences community. No one should get delayed care or die due to insufficiency of blood and blood products. Thank you for donating and keep moving the needle to ensure we normalize blood donation
Every day, countless lives are saved thanks to the selfless act of blood donation. From emergency surgeries, cancer treatments, and childbirth complications to accidents, blood is more than a resource—it's a lifeline. Uhai Life Sciences recognizes that access to safe blood is not just a medical necessity, but a vital part of a healthier, more resilient society. Blood donations help hospitals and clinics to operate efficiently and support patients who need life-saving transfusions. However, across many regions, especially in low- and middle-income countries, the need for blood often outpaces the available supply. 🔴 Why is blood donation so important? - 1 unit of blood can save up to 3 lives. - Patients with chronic conditions like sickle cell disease and cancer often require ongoing blood transfusions. - Blood cannot be manufactured—it can only come from generous donors. We invite everyone to join in this life-giving mission: Donate blood and empower healthier communities.Together, we can bridge the gap, ensure a stable supply, and give hope to those who need it most. #UhaiLifeSciences #BloodDonation #SaveLives #CommunityHealth #HealthcareInnovation #youthcareafrica Uhai Life Sciences Nicole Achieng Richelle Wambui Jeefa Makonnen DR.
