Last week, we were honored to participate in a mini exhibition held at Movenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, during the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) organized by UNICEF This opportunity not only gave us a platform to showcase Uptyke Education (Digital Publishers) but also, allowed us to engage in meaningful conversations. Our work aligns with the competency-based curriculum, equipping children with disabilities with vital skills in reading, writing, numeracy, literacy, and digital proficiency. Our goal is to ensure that no child is left behind in their learning journey, regardless of their abilities. The event reminded us of the power of collaboration and innovation in shaping a future where every child can thrive. 🎥✨ Honored to Share the Stage with amazing Women at the forefront !! ✨🎥 I had the privilege of being interviewed alongside the incredible Dr. Jie-Qi (Jackie) Chen, a globally recognized authority on Multiple Intelligences (MI) and early childhood education, and Dr. Rachel from Kenyatta University, during a recent discussion hosted by the lovely Vivian from KBC. This enriching conversation, organized by the inspiring Susan, the Established Opinion Leaders Specialist at the U.S. Embassy Nairobi, touched on some of the most crucial aspects of education today: ✅ The concept of Multiple Intelligences (MI) and how it reshapes our understanding of intelligence. ✅ Strategies to address individual learning differences and create inclusive learning environments. ✅ Practical ways educators can nurture diverse talents while overcoming challenges in MI-based teaching. ✅ Tools and assessments tailored to various intelligences, supporting students with learning disabilities and exceptional talents alike. It was fascinating to delve into how MI can transform education, particularly for underserved learners like those we work with at Uptyke Education (Digital Publishers). Hearing Dr. Chen share her insights, grounded in her illustrious career as a professor, early education advisor to UNICEF, and Fulbright Senior Specialist, was nothing short of inspiring.
