WasteFree23.org is on a mission to empower communities worldwide to manage and eliminate waste, putting an end to the harmful practices of dumping, trucking, and burning trash. Together, we can build a cleaner, more sustainable future. A success story from Nairobi: The team is transforming plastic waste into roofing panels, and this innovative process does 4 incredible things: Plastic bags become valuable resources – No longer just waste! 1. A local waste management and manufacturing industry is created, boosting the community’s economy. 2. Homes are 10°C cooler with the double-layered roofing, providing a natural solution for reducing heat inside homes and saving electricity. 3. Locally-produced products – Money stays within the community, and products aren’t shipped from distant countries like China or India. 4. And we’re having fun doing it! Steve and his team are not just building roof panels – they’re testing and perfecting them, as every good entrepreneur should. We need your help! 🙌 Share the good news and volunteer to assist Steve and the WasteFree23.org team with training materials and networking to expand this incredible initiative. Imagine 10,000 Steves worldwide – each turning plastic trash into roofing panels, chairs, trash bins, and fence posts. With 100kg of plastic used daily per person, this could mean 350,000 tonnes of plastic per year being repurposed into products, while creating jobs instead of pollution! Let’s make it happen. Together, we can revolutionize waste management and build a circular economy that works for everyone. 🔄 hashtag #WasteFree23 hashtag #Sustainability hashtag #WasteManagement hashtag #CircularEconomy hashtag #Upcycling hashtag #Innovation hashtag #Empowerment hashtag #ClimateAction hashtag #CommunityImpact hashtag #Volunteer

About us
Waste Free in ‘23 is an organization that employs innovative, new recycling process to make the world waste free by working with communities around the world. 🌐 Waste Free in ’23 is unique because it: 1️⃣ Recycles 100% of plastic waste in an environmentally-friendly manner 2️⃣ Recycles waste at locally-built micro-recycling centers located in low-income communities 3️⃣ Recycles waste directly at the source 4️⃣ Eliminates the need for transportation between collection, dumps, and recycling plants 5️⃣ Creates jobs for local members of the community 6️⃣ Provides a source of income through products built from recycled plastic At the beginning of January 2023, Slums Going Green and Clean (SGGC), Kenya began recycling 200kg of plastic waste per day in one micro-recycling center, and will increase their recycling capacity to 15 micro-recycling centers recycling 3 tons of waste per day in Kibera by the end of 2023. We hope to spread the Waste Free in ’23 Initiative worldwide!

Our ngo wastefree23.org researches, promotes and offers free training so any community and any organization can be wastefree. For 30% of the world the processes we promote are profitable - the materials produced from waste are worth more than the cost to collect and produce the materials In the 2 years since we started we have had great success helping groups reduce and eliminate waste. As we grow we are suprised by the lack of knowledge of the great ways to eliminate waste, create jobs and help the environment Could you please comment on why every landfill and dump site and incinerator of waste does not know there are alternatives that can earn them more money? Could you please comment on why more waste picker and waste collector organizations are not adopting and promoting these solutions to increase wages for their members? Could you please comment on why environmental and sustainability groups are not promoting these solutions as a path forward, among others, to resource circular economies. These solutions with well in 30% or more of the worlds waste management system. There is no single immediate solution So why are these solutions not promoted and implemented more widely? Thank you for your comments and input Black soldier fly larvae to prices good waste and manure into fertilizer, livestock / fish feed and biodiesel Instead of burning crop waste and green waste or dumping it - turn it into biochar for co2 sequestration and syngas for renewable electricity generation Recycle all glass and ceramics- either back to bottles or grind to use to replace some cement & sand in concrete Upcycle all polyethylene and soft plastics into lumber, roofing, tables , chairs trash cans and more All of these can be done in large factories or in small community recycling centers. Thank you for your comments
