"Courtesy meeting on Cooperation in Investment, Processing and Export of Cambodian Rice Bran to the US market" On 09 December 2024, at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the CDC, granted the high honor of allowing Amru Rice, led by Mr. Song Saran, CEO of Amru Rice, and Stabil Nutrition LLC, led by Mr. President, Michael A. Tarrasch, to have the opportunity to meet and discuss on the joint investment projects between Amru Rice and the Stabil Nutrition LLC in processing and exporting Cambodian rice bran to the United States market. The courtesy meeting and working discussion on this occasion was organized after Amru Rice and Stabil Nutrition LLC signed a memorandum of understanding in September 2024, presided over by H.E. Deputy Prime Minister, during the US investment promotion and attraction visit in September 2024. Through this meeting, Amru Rice was honored to report to H.E. Deputy Prime Minister about the investment plan of the company and our partner, Stabil Nutrition LLC, and to inform about the progress of the cooperation, which has been focusing now on the feasibility study to set up the Stabilized Rice bran processing plant in Kampong Thom province to produce and process bran products from Cambodian organic rice, under the technical support of our partner, Stabil Nutrition LLC, to comply with quality standards and specifications, as well as regulations, for import into the United States market. The investment on the Stabilized Rice Bran processing plant brings numerous benefits across multiple levels to especially the increase income opportunities for farmers as well as encouraging farmers to engage in sustainable farming practices aligned with high-quality production standards. Moreover, it could also be the potential strategy to reduce waste by converting byproducts into valuable commodities, promoting resource efficiency, and position Cambodia as a key player in sustainable agriculture and premium rice products on the global market. In response to this cooperation investment, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister provided the high notes on the investment situation in Cambodia, the investment facilitation of CDC, and the vision of the Royal Government of Cambodia in supporting businesses through incentives and tax exemptions for investment, and encouraged Amru Rice and Stabil Nutrition LLC to be successful in their investment in processing and exporting bran from Cambodia. “Amru Rice Commit to Enhancing Rice Quality Through Improved Pest Management Strategies” On November 28, 2024, Amru Rice’s representative, Mr. Lyn Mongkol, attended as a speaker in the Workshop on the “Improvement of Rice Quality by an Improvement of Pest Management Strategies” shared on the topic of "Rice Miller Point of View on Regenerative Agriculture and Opportunities for Rice Quality Value Chains in Cambodia”. The workshop is presided over by Dr. Kong Kea, Director of Rice Department of the General Department of Agriculture, and related key actors of the rice sector (policy makers from MAFF and Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Health, private sector including rice millers and pesticide sellers, NGO and research sector) to present the results of the recent PRETAG study assessing the use of pesticides in 7 provinces, clarify the vision of other actors of the rice value chain and analyze the steps forward of the use of pesticides, safeguarding the health of the agroecosystems, human, animals, while contributing to a better rice paddy quality. Through Mr. Mongkul’s presentation, he has emphasized the pivotal role of regenerative agricultural practices in transforming the Cambodian rice industry, as such Amru Rice, a leading organic rice exporter has been striving consistently to champion these methods, focusing on manage the chemical inputs, improving soil health, and fostering biodiversity. He also presented the potential of rice sector in Cambodia and the goals of the company, also stated on the issues, recommendation and suggestions to farmers and stakeholders related to pesticides residue, pesticides waste management, improper pesticide application by the farmers and services provider (Drone). The workshop also facilitated discussions on aligning the perspectives of different stakeholders in the rice value chain. Policymakers outlined regulatory strategies for pesticide use, while NGOs and researchers emphasized the need for awareness campaigns and technical training for farmers. Amru Rice’s insights regarding the pesticide management for expanding market demands and quality assurance underscored the importance of balancing environmental sustainability with economic competitiveness. Amru Rice believe that regenerative agriculture not only safeguards the environment but also creates opportunities to enhance the value of Cambodia’s rice exports. “Amru Rice welcomes the visit of international buyers to the Amru Rice factory in Kampong Thom and facilitates meetings with AC in Preah Vihear" On November 9, 2024, Mr. Song Saran, CEO of Amru Rice and colleagues were pleased to welcome the visit of the international buyers to Amru Rice Factory in Kampong Thom to witness the rice processing value chain, from the carefully seed selection to quality rice processing equipped with standard and modern technology. Amru Rice was also pleased to facilitate the international buyers to visit the Romtom Samakimeanchey Agriculture Cooperative (AC), to discuss on the improvement of the organic rice production and sustainable rice production standard for achieving high quality, productive and higher price. Through the visit at the Romtom Samakimeanchey AC, located in Rovieng District, Preah Vihear Province, the international buyers got to have the conversation with the representatives of the Acs and the members to understand the actual practices of rice planning and production, including methods of organic, SRP, focusing on adhering to environmental protection standards. The AC also got some recommendation from buyers to improve standardized rice production with high yields and better income generating for farmers. The international buyers, Amru Rice and the AC, recognize the importance of cooperation towards improving the quality of rice seeds and increasing rice productivity in order to maintain food security in the region. By focusing on the use of high-quality rice seeds, farmers can expect higher yields and enhance the adaptation against environmental challenges and contribute to the sustainability of agriculture. It should also be noted that this AC has a total of 205 members, of which 77 are women. In previous years, this AC is an active partner of Amru Rice in the production of purified seeds of the traditional rice variety including Neang Ok and Neang Am, and for this 2024, Amru and this AC signed on contract farming on around 1200 tons of organic rice. #Amrurice #buyervisit #contractfarming #organicrice #agriculturalcooperative  

"AMRU Rice brings 500 kg of Sen Kraob Rice to support MJC Kampot” In the commitment of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), on November 9, 2024, Mr. Song Sarith, Representative of Amru Rice, bring the donated 500 kg of fragrant rice to the Maison Des Jeunes et de la Culture (MJC) in Kampot province in order to support the association's student canteen project, and especially to students in need. Beyond improving farmers' livelihoods through Amru Rice's core business activities, Amru Rice has always been involved in supporting schools or communities.
