Flashback activity Nurses & Midwives Student Career Day 2024 On December 12, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery proudly hosted Student Career Day 2024, a transformative event aimed at guiding final-year students in shaping their career paths and preparing them for the professional world. Held in the university Hall-B, the event featured a lineup of esteemed speakers and an engaged audience eager to learn from industry leaders. The program began with a warm welcome and opening remarks from Ms. Kem Sokunthea, the Acting Head of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery. In her speech, Ms. Sokunthea emphasized the significance of making informed career decisions and encouraged students to embrace the wealth of knowledge shared by the distinguished speakers. "Your career is a reflection of your passion and commitment," she stated, urging students to take advantage of the day to explore the opportunities ahead. The event featured an impressive panel of guest speakers: Ms. Ken Prohmvibossny, HR Supervisor, shared insights on aligning career goals with market demands, preparing CV & interview. Mr. Kap Noeun, Deputy Head of the Cambodian Nursing Council, highlighted the evolving role of nursing in healthcare and the importance of professional ethics and application in the Cambodian council nursing. Mr. Pak Sopheak, Deputy Chief of Nursing at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, provided advice on excelling in clinical settings and delivering patient-centered care. Mr. Preou Chiva, Chief of Committee Administration & Medical Concierge at Japan Sunrise Hospital, discussed the integration of administrative and medical roles in modern healthcare and career alignment. Mr. Kenneth Earl Dizon, RN, MAN, and Nursing Director of Intercare Hospital, inspired students with strategies for career preparation and growth in healthcare environments. The day concluded with a Q&A session, allowing students to connect directly with the speakers. The event not only motivated participants but also provided practical guidance, leaving them empowered to choose career paths that align with their aspirations. 25 members of the Doctors Alliance of Union Youth Federation of Cambodia (DA-UYFC), University of Puthisastra, participated in the examination and treatment of those living far from health services at Svay Keo High School, Phet Rong Commune, Talo Sen Chey District, Pursat Province. -------------------------------------------- On Sunday morning, December 22, 2024, 25 members of the Doctors Alliance of Union Youth Federation of Cambodia (DA-UYFC), Puthisastra University Branch, participated in the examination and treatment of those living far from health services at Svay Keo High School, Phet Rong Commune, Talo Sen Chey District, Pursat Province, led by Dr. Heng Sok Kong, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of DA-UYFC, represented by Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, Minister of Public Service and President of the Union of Cambodian Youth Federation, visited and provided free general medical examinations and treatment to the residents there. The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Provincial Government, as well as deputy governors, local authorities, the armed forces, including doctors, medical teams, teachers, students, and a large number of citizens.
