We received a delegation of South Korean climate impact startups led by the Korea- Africa Foundation, including 땡스카본(ThanksCarbon), Solarinno, EcoLinks, TCRK Energy, Blue Gold®, Beyond Captur and A.Virtual Co.,ltd.. They were hosted by Felix Kamenga our Chief Commercial Officer, Dennis Munyua, M-PESA Africa Ag. Head of Growth and partnerships and David Rayner from the commercial team. We explored climate change solutions and how M-PESA is leveraging technology and the mobile phone to democratise access and empower small holder farmers. The session further discussed the evolution of M-PESA and how our purpose of Transforming Lives has seen us connect more than 60 million customers and 6 million businesses to financial services.

📣📣Meet Our Climate-Tech Startups in Nairobi! 🦄 We are excited to launch our Climate Tech Program in Nairobi from 19AUG to 6SEP, aiming to leverage the city’s dynamic innovation ecosystem to tackle pressing climate challenges. This program is designed to support startups who are developing cutting-edge solutions in the areas of renewable energy, carbon capture technology, sustainable agriculture, water management, and environmental conservation. As we prepare to engage with the Nairobi ecosystem, we are eager to connect with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, NGOs, and policymakers who are actively involved in the climate tech space. Beyond Captur is joining the Soft-Landing Program by the @Korea-Africa Foundation (@KAF), with support from AfricArena . This is a significant step in our journey to explore and expand our presence in the African market. Over the past two weeks, we successfully completed the program in South Africa, where we had the privilege of meeting with a range of organizations, including VCs, ACs, and potential local partners. The insights gained have been invaluable as we continue to assess the market potential and explore future opportunities in the CDR (Carbon Dioxide Removal) sector. Now, we are heading to Kenya to further our mission. We look forward to engaging with local partners and investors to better understand the unique dynamics of the region and to explore how Beyond Captur can contribute to the future of sustainable development in Africa.
