CUREXO had the privilege of participating in the 1st International Bioskills Lab on Spine Surgery and Innovations, held at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute Surgical Training and Education Center. This exclusive program featured hands-on surgical skills and cadaveric labs, offering surgeons the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies in spinal surgery. During the two-day event, CUREXO proudly demonstrated the CUVIS-spine robotic system in both dry lab and cadaver labs, showcasing its advanced capabilities for precision spinal surgery. On November 15th, CUREXO team visited Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in Germany to hold a meeting with Professor Surjo's research team. Attendees who participated in the meeting are CUREXO Inc. and Professor Surjo, M.D. Cornelius, and Ph.D. Aura Ximena, a postdoctoral researcher from Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. During the meeting, Professor Surjo demonstrated an overview of the his researches have been conducted so far, explaining the ongoing studies including BMI(Brain-Machine Interface) based on EEG(electroencephalogram) signals from the brain.   CUREXO has discussed with Professor Surjo about research collaboration aims to leverage BMI technology to improve rehabilitation for patients with walking disturbances that using EEG, which reflects the electrical activity of the neurons in the cerebral cortex of the brain, to detect movement intention in the lower limbs and transmitting this data to CUREXO’s Morning Walk gait rehabilitation robot.   The research is set to begin next year with the installation of the Morning Walk at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where the two teams will work together to advance the development of the cutting-edge technology.
