🎉 Great and green news from our plant in Arad, Romania! 🎉 The recently installed photovoltaic system has been in operation since December 2024, enabling the plant to significantly reduce its emissions. The photovoltaic system consists of 3,360 modules on the roofs of the plant's three buildings and was installed by E.ON Romania, with which Webasto has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA). This is a long-term power supply contract with a term of 15 years. Webasto Arad will cover its energy needs with the electricity it generates and will pay E.ON a price per MWh as defined in the PPA. Excess energy will be fed into the grid. The PPA will reduce the emissions of our Arad plant, provide long-term price stability, and reduce the risks associated with electricity. The Webasto Group is dedicated to sustainability and to contributing to the climate-friendly mobility now and in the future. Reducing emissions while keeping energy prices stable is beneficial for this commitment, the company's sustainability targets, and reliable planning.
