We recently stayed the The Empire for two night during our travels, and had an incredible time! The resort is located about a 20 min drive from the airport and about a 20 minute drive to the main downtown area. The resort is gigantic! Upon entering the hotel we were amazed at how large and jaw-dropping the lobby was. We checked in and were given a Seaside View room located in a building a short buggy ride away. As I mentioned the property is MASSIVE, but whenever you need a buggy just call down to reception, or locate one of the many staff members who will get one for you in mere minutes. Our room itself, was very clean, large, with a nice balcony and chairs outside. Also, the property is VERY quiet and peaceful. We really took advantage of many of the activities offered at the resort. We went for a walk down to the beach and checked out the pool. I highly recommend using the Country Club facilities, many of them are included with the price of the room, like Table Tennis, and Basketball. The others like golf, squash, badminton, have an extra added fee. We also opted to play a couple rounds of bowling, which was very reasonably priced, and we had the entire bowling alley to ourselves! It was a lot of fun, a neat experience, and highly recommended. For dinner we ate at the Indian restaurant on property. We were there on a weekday, so the buffet was not being offered. The food was fantastic at the restaurant, super fresh, tasty, with friendly and helpful waitresses. For breakfast there is a buffet option, but we chose to grab baked goods and croissants from the 24 hour market on property, called Zest. Overall, we had an incredible time! You can have an entire vacation at the property and never even leave the resort. There is so much to do, that we unfortunately ran out of time!
